The people shape the culture and the culture shapes the people! At Grace Fellowship, we are in the continual process of developing a culture that glorifies God greatly. Here are some of the key spiritual maturity traits we want to see modeled by our people:
Our Vision is simple: help people around the world love and pursue God deeply, beginning right here, with you, in York, Pennsylvania. We envision ourselves being a group of people who have local, regional, national and international impact for the glory of God. If you’re ready to take your next steps in your walk with God, you’re in the right place. We’re glad you’re here!
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19,20)
Godly, loving relationships | The movement of God | Humility | Simplicity | Exponential replication
"Life is too short to pursue anything less than your passion." This is the personal motto of Pastor Michael Anthony Paolicelli (pal-uh-chell-ee). Mike uses his first and middle names for simplicity. He is an award winning Bible teacher, writer and international speaker who attributes most of the lessons he's learned in life to failure. His passion is to pursue God deeply, and to spare others from repeating his mistakes. He began preaching on a train station platform in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the result of deep personal trauma that nearly undid him.
Mike is an outside-the-box, innovative thinker who loves people. His is a comeback story, with four near-death experiences, including a triumph over cancer in 2009. As a child, he was nearly kidnapped three times.
He considers it among the highest privileges of his life to serve God and His people as the Lead Pastor of Grace Fellowship. Along with his wife, Janet, he is a Co-Founder and the President of Godfactor.com, and the “architect” behind the free life-changing Godfactor App for smartphones and tablets. All Mikes messages, and many more resources to help you pursue God deeply, can be enjoyed and shared through the Godfactor App and Godfactor.com. You may also find many of his messages on iTunes by searching for "Godfactor".
Janet is from Canada, and is a graduate of Multnomah University, with a B.S. in Biblical Education. She is an evangelist at heart, with a passion to see people everywhere surrender to God completely. She has served God overseas in several locations, and is bilingual. She and Mike share a passion to help people around the world discover and pursue God like never before, and love being the parents of their two sons, men of God in training.
Mike received his B.A. in English from Rutgers University, and is a graduate of Moody Graduate School in Chicago (ASP), and Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon (M.Div.). He has preached the Gospel on four continents, visited over twenty countries, and is an avid revival historian.
Greg graduated from the University of Nebraska (Bachelor of Music), Dallas Theological Seminary (C.G.S.) and Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Graduate School (M.A. in Religion and Worship Studies). He headed worship ministry in three other churches before coming to Grace Fellowship where he has now been serving for 28 years. In his years of experience he has been an award winning songwriter and also an arranger, worship instructor and concert pianist. He now trains and mentors several leaders in worship, songwriting, and oversees several worship bands. He and his wife, Tricha, have two sons, an awesome daughter-in-law and grandchildren. Greg and Tricha are committed to helping Christ followers truly worship, connect with and serve God in deeper, meaningful and effective ways.
Bob Tome has been a part of Grace for 18 years. He has served in various roles and currently devotes half his time to ministry on Grace's campus and half his time in York City. He has served as a chairman of the Greater Washington Christian Education Association and currently holds workshops there, focusing on Urban Ministry. He also partners with the York City School District in mentoring parents and leading school assemblies.
Bob has a passionate and compassionate heart for urbanites, having grown up in York City. His burden to see people saved and developing in their faith, as well as caring for them as a shepherd, was something modeled to him as Christian men spoke into his life as a teenager.
In the Urban setting, Bob has a strong partnership with the School District of the City of York, Penn State York, and the school district’s STEAM Program, offered to middle school students.
On the Grace campus, Bob oversees our Counseling Ministry. The Counseling Ministry offers free counseling and mentoring to individuals, couples, and families. Discussion groups, classes, and Addiction Recovery is also offered. Bob is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors. He has a website called mentorsmatter.net and is a Behavioral Life Coach Consultant.
Joe and his wife, Brittany, are from Blandon, Pennsylvania (about 20 minutes NE of Reading). They are high school sweethearts. In May 2015, Joe graduated with his Master of Divinity degree from Evangelical Seminary with a concentration in World Christianity, and he came on staff here at Grace in January 2015 as an intern in our Care Ministry.
Joe is passionate about helping others love God, and wants to help Christ-followers view themselves as missionaries in their families, workplaces and neighborhoods. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Brandon and his high school sweetheart, now wife, Alexis, grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey and Brandon spent his childhood visiting family here in York. Brandon and Alexis both attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia where Brandon received his Bachelor’s degree in Religion with a specialization in Youth Ministries and his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling. It was during his time in Virginia that Brandon served as a Middle School Pastor for two years before coming on staff at Grace in January of 2016.
Brandon is passionate about student ministry and family ministry as a whole, and desires to see Christ change families through the Gospel message. Brandon is also passionate about training future ministry leaders. In his free time Brandon loves to rock climb, play and coach soccer and volleyball, and watch movies with his wife.
Vivian Sawyer is wife of 1, mother of 3, mother-in-law of 3, and grandmother of 10 (of the most adorable, smart and sweet grandchildren in the world), who has been gifted by God to look at numbers for hours at a time without going cross-eyed, organize things (sometimes so well she can’t find them herself) and keep multiple balls in the air at the same time (with the occasional knot on the head from the falling ball).
She considers it an honor to serve the people of Grace as their administrator, but her passion and greatest privilege is working alongside the love of her life to help married and about-to-be-married couples discover the joy that comes from doing marriage God’s way!
